This site is the result of a research on the activity of journalistic vehicles on TikTok.

What you will see here:

• Challenges that newspapers encounter when joining the platform - and guidelines on how to get around them;

• Different possibilities of using the platform;

• Examples of videos from various journalistic accounts for reference;

• Indications of newspaper profiles and content on the topic.

The project was built from readings; conversations with journalists around the world who already work with TikTok; and extensive consumption (sometimes beyond the recommended) of journalistic content on the platform.

Journalism isn't the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about TikTok. But, who knows, it turns out to be the second?
